Rui Miguel (Penafiel, 1999) is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Porto, Portugal. Since 2022, he has worked in editorial design, exhibition design, and web design. As an artist, his interdisciplinary practice spans photography, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking processes. Rooted in an autobiographical approach, his work explores themes of memory, childhood, trauma, and ritual. Through the collection, transformation, and recontextualization of images, objects, and traces, he investigates how sensory memories become materialized and shape identity, establishing a dialogue between personal experience, the imaginary, and materiality.
